gilbert mazliah shares his time between his artistic practice and activity as a teacher centred around his interest for the individual and the creativity. for him, these two activities rise mutually together.
since 1979, he becomes a professor at the higher school of the fine arts of geneva (esba), switzerland, and in 1989, he creates an association to support the creativity of the individual: "ici, main tenant".

gilbert mazliah appears in fields as varied as painting, drawing, engraving, sculpture, ceramics, photograph, writing and performance...
since 1970, he has exposed regularly more than fifty solo exhibitions and many group exhibitions, as well as in switzerland as abroad.
he obtained different awards and several grants, he obtained 1981, the swiss federal grant.
he published two important works, paintings and texts by himself, in 1986 "le present est le présent", in 2001 "sanpai, un pèlerinage pictural”. 2001 a tv programme "les grands entretiens" is devoted to him at the french speaking television of switzerland.

the whole work of gilbert mazliah, around the mankind in search of himself, aims to join together in a visible and pictorial way, the spaces of consciousness and unconsciousness.
he tries to maintain a living and creative relationship with the universal pictures, which try to appear in the contemporary mind under a present and effective form. nufnuf-art
