serge diakonoff, of russian origin, was born on october 28, 1933 in geneva, where he passed his youth.

he had a short passage during the fifties at the academy of fine arts in geneva, then stays at the academy of “art deco” (geneva),  disturbing a little bit these wise institutions!

later, diakonoff, although continues to be interested in the graphic art and he was frequently requested by theatres and the operas for which he creates more than 60 sceneries, in Geneva (switzerland), paris and lyon (france)….

in spite of its acquired notoriety, he prefers to travel in  the large broad. as great traveller around the world, especially in asia, he concretizes his attraction for the primitive and traditional arts of these countries.

since 1975 he practises body painting. this might perhaps be the beginning of a new creative misadventure, related to his fascination for not european art.

his body paintings were subjects of books  like: "à fleur de peau" and "metamorphoses" published and republished…

during his artistic life, his fascination about the human being is constant.
his principal subject of his plastic sculptures is indeed a protein man

as in his drawings he particularly likes, as in his canvas or his sculptures, assemblies of delirious, you  will always find the anthropomorphic transformations of his subjects.

in brief, serge diakonoff, painter and friend, knews to impassion me, to make me happy and to make me dream, since many years, as well as good as many others, like those who in france awarded to him the distinction of knight of the command of the arts and the letters.
